But I would not invest in Electri6ity until a massive update is done where it's a lot more refined. They are all tools and if they work for your needs then that's totally fine. This is all my opinion so take it with a grain of salt and ultimately do your own research. It's almost as if Orange Tree Guitars were made to improve upon what Vir2 established with Electri6ity. And Orange Tree has the same or similar guitars to Electri6ity. The Orange Tree legato sounds way better to me than Electri6ity and you don't have to use a keyswitch to access it, instead you simply overlap the notes. Vir2 has meticulously recorded six different acoustic instruments: a steel-string guitar, twelve-string, nylon string, ukulele, mandolin, and. Electri6ity by vir2 instruments guitar vst plugin, audio. Download kontakt player 5, pluginfollowing in the footsteps of vir2 instruments awardwinning electri6ity. With the Vir2 Acou6tics, the 6-string and 12-string steel, nylon strung. One plus for Electri6ity is that the settings can be controlled with CC's. Following in the footsteps of Vir2 Instruments award-winning Electri6ity electric guitar virtual instrument, Acou6tics applies the same advanced technologies to re-imagine the virtual acoustic guitar. An important point to note about Electri6ity is its use of Kontakt 4s Velocity. You have to select a play mode (poly/mono/legato/legato muted) with keyswitches continually, use multi-velocity keyswitches for articulations (I think I counted 60 keyswitches) and there are a lot settings (over 60 parameters). It totally needs to be rewritten and simplified. I mean, it's so complicated you need to take detailed notes just to remember all the functions.
For me it takes too much time to get the sound I need from Electri6ity due to all the keyswitches and settings options.
The Orange Tree guitars are way better out of the box with arguably just as many articulations and definitely better playability. Add better GUI and scripting and you release Electri6ity is still a good library, but is badly in need of an update. The newer Orange Tree/Impact Soundworks/Ample Sound libs have the same amount of samples or more. One thing that's easy to miss is that the entire Electri6ity collection is 27GB and while it seems like the lib has a huge amount of samples/articulations, the 27GB is for 8 different guitars.
